I got this barrel as I couldn't wait to fill my 5lt Barrel and I'm really keen to start drinking my new rum. The 1.5lt has 1.4lt of 50%, filtered Spirit made from unprocessed Molasses direct from the Mill. The 1 5lt will age to a 12m quality in roughly 3 or 4 weeks. Only 2 weeks to go lol. When I did the leak test, I was impressed with the tannin colour and the complex flavours in the water that came out after 4 days. Looking forward to having those flavours in my rum.
